This is a window sash for a split window beetle. This is meant to weld onto the lower portion where the window regulator attaches to.
The lower portion is usually in great shape so just drill out the spot welds, remove the old rusty sash, and weld the lower portion to the upper portion.
The window glass is held into this piece by rubber on either side. the spring of the metal on the rubber clamps the glass in place.
This piece is 1mm thickness just like the original. The pressing and shape is a perfect reproduction.
No one else makes these. The ones sold elsewhere will not work with a split beetle regulator!
